AML/KYC Policy

Ukr.Exchange’s AML/CTF Policy and Crypto Deposit Rules

Ukr.Exchange strictly adheres to international standards and legislation regarding anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF). We use automated risk analysis to prevent any unlawful use of the platform.

What is strictly prohibited:

* Laundering of funds obtained through criminal means
* Financing of terrorism or extremist activities
* Fraud, theft, hacking and related operations (scam/fraud)
* The purchase or payment for prohibited goods and services
* Circumvention of sanctions and interaction with sanctioned persons/addresses

How risk is assessed (Risk Score)

The risk of each transaction is calculated based on the following factors:
* The type and nature of the assets being transferred
* The origin of funds (for incoming transactions)
* Purpose of the funds (for outgoing transactions)
* Full transaction history of the sender and recipient addresses

Risk levels:

* 0–25% — No risk — clean funds with no suspicious links
* 25–50% — Low risk — minor links to ‘bad’ addresses, but no critical factors
* 50–70% — Medium risk — questionable links; some exchanges may reject such cryptocurrency
* 70–90% — High risk — address linked to illegal activity
* 90–100% — Critical risk — direct involvement in illegal activity

Rejection criteria

An application may be rejected if the overall risk exceeds 50% or if the score for individual categories (indicators) exceeds 5/100.

The service analyses both individual transactions and the entire wallet history (where funds came from and where they went).
The risk score is updated automatically when there is new activity on an address or when data from analytical services is updated.

Prohibited high-risk categories:

Gambling/Betting, Darknet Markets, Scam/Fraud, Mixers & Privacy Tools, Ransomware, Malware, Terrorist Financing, Sanctioned Addresses, Stolen Funds, Child Abuse/Material and others.

In accordance with this, we establish the following rules for charging fees upon refund:
* If the client confirms that they have passed the AML check (KYC/SoF) and the legitimacy of the funds has been verified — the refund fee will consist of only the blockchain network fee (network fee). No additional service fees will be applied.
* If the client confirms that the AML check was not passed — the refund fee will be 10 USDT + blockchain network fee.
